

Hopefully this assists you in helping us. The video I'm working on now is a lot longer 7m:28s which is a lot of time to hear my voice over and over endlessly on 3 programs. By default the system forces it to attach to a frame or second having to alt click for a specific point in time or at times having to repeat this process multiple times because both the begining and the end of of the viseme don't match the frame. It's a lot easier to pinpoint these things with a big waveform (physically being able to see it bigger on the screen of character animator) and being able to zoom in/see time fractions in more detail to match the waveform to the changes in visemes by just dragging it. This would allow me to listen to a specific section just once instead of multiple times when editing the audio, multiple times in after effects to insert subtibles/add effects or time a video time remapping and then still having to change the visemes on character animator only being able to see a very small line on the timeline where the scene track is. Even if I was able to insert the viseme when editing the audio on audition or inserting the captions on after effects it would already be a great help. When I sync the project in after effects or edit the audio on audition I can narrow it down to much smaller time fractions making it better to sync things to the audio. For me one of the biggest drags and probably most time consuming part is editing the visemes. As some people suggested before, being able to input the text associated with the audio, having more options to expand the audio on the timeline or sync it with subtittles could help. It may be a bit worse for me since my audio is in Portuguese. Only down side is you're not 'supposed' to it in moiveclips so when you export it will warn you that you have duplicate file names for all the vowels - this isn't an issue.Does this help? Once done call the mouth something like 'mouth_mc' then when you want to say something run the code "mouth_mc.gotoAndPlay('audioClip1').

Then click on your mouth animation mc and sync it to all the audio along the timeline. Then at the end of the audio clip on the last frame before it becomes the new one add in a new key frame on the actions layer and add a stop() in the actions code. So, to make these talks appear real, flawless. Animations are moving and talking images and liveliness come from the dialogues that they speak. The dialogues are broken into the phonetic syllables and the frames required for these syllables are then accessed. Where each new keyframe starts with the audio give it a frame name eg 'audioClip1'. The process of lip-syncing in animations includes the dialogues and the mouth charts. Add a new keyframe to add each audio clip. Then load each audio clip along the time line with a gap after each.

Then add a new keyframes on the second frame. Then have a 'mouth' movieclip with the mouth animation mc on one layer, the audio on the layer above then a top layer for your actions.Īdd new keyframes on the first frame and add a stop() in the actions layer using the actions panel. My process is to split the audio files down into scenes or something relitive to your project.
